Staff report
Jack Skille can relate. But at least Jake Dowell is still making the return trips.
The Blackhawks re-assigned Dowell, a center, to Rockford Tuesday after calling him up for the Hawks' 3-1 win over Minnesota Monday night. It was Dowell's second game of the year with Chicago. He had replaced captain Jonathon Toews, who continues to recover from a concussion suffered nearly a week ago.
Skille, the Blackhawks' winger who spent the start of the season yo-yoing between Chicago and Rockford, has of late been left to develop with the Hawks' minor league affiliate.
