BOSTON --- That was ugly.
The Celtics destroyed the Bulls 118-90 Friday night at TD Garden, for one night reminding the Bulls how powerful they can be with a healthy Kevin Garnett.
Paul Pierce sank all seven third-quarter shots and had 20 points in that period en route to his team-high 22 points. Ray Allen added 20 points in an economical 24 minutes, passing John Stockton for 33rd on the all-time scoring list.
And Eddie House took advantage of garbage time to score 22 points.
The Bulls were never in this one from the early stages of the second quarter and trailed by as many as 30. Joakim Noah's 16 points led the Bulls, who shot 41.5 percent.
Derrick Rose tallied 10 points in just 24 minutes as the Bulls took advantage of the blowout to rest his right ankle.

NOAH was the only one who showed up. Pargo showed up also. But everyone else - outclassed. Remember Deng on the sidelines last year in his suit?!?!?!?! Got his chance, but look at his stat line. Remember Kirk being slung around like a rag doll??? Remember Rondo busting Miller in the grill??? Celtics their fans and the media remembers. But hardly any of the Bulls did.
Thanks again KC for this quarter analysis. Excellent.
