With apologies to reserve guard Jannero Pargo, his health status isn't foremost on Bulls fans' minds.
Pargo sat for most of Tuesday's Bulls practice with a sore back, and his availability remains in question for Thursday's opener against the Spurs.
But Derrick Rose practiced for the third straight day and, afterward, easily sounded the most encouraged he's been about the inflamed tendon behind his right ankle.
"Right now, I'm feeling more comfortable," Rose said. "My ankle isn't really hurting. I've been getting a lot of rest. So I'm feeling good."
Neither Rose nor coach Vinny Del Negro again would commit to how many minutes Rose might play. The Bulls play at Boston the day after they open against the Spurs.
