SAN ANTONIO -- Already Notre Dame is assured of not leaving the state of Texas empty-handed this weekend.

Toney Hurd, Jr., a defensive back from Missouri City, Texas, became the 18th player from the Class of 2010 to commit orally to play for Notre Dame, according to multiple online reports.

The 5-foot-9-inch, 184-pound Hurd is a three-star prospect, according to Rivals.com, and the No. 44 cornerback prospect nationally.

The No. 25 Irish play Washington State here on Saturday night in the first of the off-site home games it will schedule annually, with around 30 prospects from the Class of 2011 in Texas scheduled to attend.
