Bears strong safety Al Afalava said he is likely to undergo testing Monday, though an MRI is not certain to be among the tests, to determine the extent of damage to his right shoulder, which went numb after he missed an attempted arm tackle in today's 41-21 loss to the Cardinals.
Afalava previously had injured his shoulder in the preseason.
"I just hurt it more,'' he said.
Cornerback Charles Tillman injured his left shoulder and is likely to have more extensive tests done on his shoulder as well.

What the Bears need to do is bring someone like Mike D as GM give him control of the coach and staff and stand back. The so call D was a joke no matter who the QB is you need 11 players on O and same on D look back when the Bears had D that teams feared. They would tackle first then go for the ball look at the 85 team D when they hit someone they were stopped now its lets see if I could push him down. If no changes are made and fast you will be looking at a 500 team for 2-3 years I feel for the ticket holders but just like the Cubs people will buy no matter what the record is.
maybe you should have signed derrick brooks, darren sharper!! two guys whom are leaders and know where to position the rest of the defense...let alone are bonified all-pros..but wait?? you think hillenmeyer can hold urlacher's jock srtap and the gutless safties we have are 2-3rd strings at best on any squad!1
whatta joke lovie you lost your team..show some emotion, release some players...add players anything ..you joker!!
Inside scoop is that they are both out for the year. It doesn't matter since they and no one else on that pathetic defense can cover anything that moves.
I believe tillman also went out of the game after an arm tackle too. Maybe Lovie's strip the ball out approach is getting his secondary guys arms yanked off. Maybe they should try and tackle somebody for a change. You know like hit somebody and knock them down, it used to be a common thing for bears defenses to do pre lovie.
Good thing Angelo has all those budding star late round draft picks to step in and play with the first unit. That's what a good gm does, builds a deep team with great talent. Lovie and Jerry are made for each other, Ted Phillips must be very proud.
