MINNEAPOLIS -- Bears cornerback Charles Tillman left today's game against the Vikings midway through the third quarter. He held the back of his head for a moment before taking a seat on the bench.

A Bears official said the team is in the process of evaluating Tillman's status. Nathan Vasher has stepped in at left cornerback and already has a tackle.

Earlier, Bears linebacker Lance Briggs went down with a knee injury after a first-quarter collision, and he was in and out of the lineup for the rest of the first half.

Briggs walked off the field with 9 minutes, 27 seconds left in the first quarter. He jogged on the sideline trying to shake it off and returned for the next series. But he was back on the bench in the second quarter, with Jamar Williams replacing him in the lineup. Briggs is still on the bench.

Bears defensive end Alex Brown left the game with a leg injury, but he returned in the third quarter. Mark Anderson and Gaines Adams have seen more action with Brown out.

So sad, where do you start? Too many changes needed to mention. At this point play anyone on the team and see what they have, no need to keep starters in, create some competition to stir the pot.

And for anyone who thinks Denver 's Orton will make it past the 1st round, good luck to you!

I still marvel at how no significant change has been made on the Bears in the wake of this disaster. If I did my job as badly for an hour (as most), I would be fired. Weeks have passed, and the Bears are who we thought they were! Smith has yet to evovle since taking the Bears to the Superbowl. Ron Turner....is just as bad as he was as head coach the U of I. Angelo...countless wasted draft picks and former players as stars elsewhere means we have a crappy roster and former players on other teams poised to play in the post season for other teams. Please get a coach, some coordinators, and someone with a clue to evaluate and select players.

rebuild!

By the way - Tommie Harris' highest impact play of the day - knocking out Tillman accidently.

Did he do anything else all day?

Give Briggs and Tillman the rest of the season off to heal up 100%. Nothing left to play for anyway. No sense risking an injury that might affect (hopefully the Lovie-less) 2010 season and those are 2 guys I'd keep.

Pace - injured reserve and send him home. Bring in a young guy from another team's practice squad as a trial.

And, why would you keep Pisa on the roster Angelo? He's out for the season. Bring in someone else who might be able to make the team for next year.

Pathetic personnel management.

I have to admire Lovie I work for an organization that I know will not fire me to sit and collect 11 million not to coach, why should I care, this is Dick Jaroun Jr. so stubborn to change his way of coaching even when proven it does not work continues the same, the players tuned Lovie out long time ago get use too this Bears fans evwn in two years after Lovie is gone the McCaskeys will hire on the cheap again in a city of over 5 million people it is easy to fill 65000 seats for 8 games there will always be a new generation of fans that have never went to a pro game that will fill the seats, check the facts the 86 superbowl team had a head coach that could not share the glory with the DC ditto for the 2006 team both imploded, get use to this every 20+ murphys law prevails and we field a competitive in spite of ownership and the people hired to run this show.

This game was pathetic. When are the powers to be gonna gwet rid of Smith. I know that the Bears have the personel to step into the role. Smith's play calling is e\what is killing them. Please come on wakeup!!!!!!!!!!1

Pathetic..........what else can be said of this performance?

Fire his a$$ immediately!

If you're a Bears fan, act with a little more class. If you're a Broncos fan, have fun almost making the playoffs with Neckbeard.
