GLENDALE, Ariz.--The Blackhawks recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from Rockford of the American Hockey League today.

The Hawks are in Denver to take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Bickell has appeared in one game with the Hawks this season, recording five hits in 6 minutes, 46 seconds of action in the Hawks' 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Oct.8.

With the status of center Jonathan Toews and winger Ben Eager--both sidelined with concussions--unknown for tonight's game, Bickell could be in the lineup against the Avalanche.

It's also possible another forward was banged up during the Hawks' 3-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night. The Hawks have had defenseman Jordan Hendry filling in at wing on the fourth line of late.
