Kris Versteeg returned to practice with the Blackhawks today as they prepare for their upcoming six-game road trip, which beings Thursday night in Calgary. The forward missed Sunday night's 4-3 overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks with an upper-body injury, but was on the ice today at Johnny's Ice House.

"He looks OK," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "We'll see how he is (Wednesday) and if he's as good as he was (Tuesday) ... he should be playing Thursday."

Marian Hossa skated on a line with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews during practice. The free-agent winger is expected to make his Hawks debut sometime during the trip.

"We're targeting for some point on the trip," Quenneville said. "I don't want to say what game."

As far as Hossa playing on a line with Toews and Kane, Quenneville said, "It's something we tried (Tuesday). As we go along and get a little closer maybe we'll put him on the line where we think (he's) going to be."
