PORTLAND, Ore. --- Joakim Noah is still leading the league in rebounding, though his advantage over Toronto's Chris Bosh has shrunk.
He's still averaging a double-double, though after six straight games reaching that milestone, he had his second straight game without one Monday night in a 122-98 loss to the Trail Blazers.
It's clear, after three straight games against the Lakers' Andrew Bynum, the Nuggets' Nene and Portland's Greg Oden, that Noah has had a physical trip.
"I feel like I've been getting overpowered the last couple of games," Noah admitted. "Guys have just been putting their bodies on me and it's taken a toll on me. I gotta find a way to sustain."
Nobody takes losing harder than Noah, who has spent the past two postgames sitting glumly at his locker, staring for a long time at a box score and then into space. He's been a revelation this season and one of the consistent bright spots.
But this trip has showed he needs help in the trenches. This trip has taken a toll.
