SALT LAKE CITY -- The Bulls were slow to shake off the rust from a break as the Utah Jazz jumped out to a 28-22 lead after the first quarter.
The Jazz shot almost 65 percent from the floor in the opening quarter as Mehmet Okur scored nine and Carlos Boozer had eight points for Utah. Taj Gibson led the Bulls, shooting 3-for-4 from the floor for six points to go with his three rebounds.
The Bulls weren't too shooting shabby either, finishing the first quarter at a 57.9 percent clip.
