Bulls center Aaron Gray experienced some fluid build-up on his right knee caused by cellulitis that required the already-injured center to be hospitalized for a brief time over the weekend.
Gray, recovering from a stress fracture in his left leg, won't accompany the Bulls at the start of their upcoming six-game trip that begins Tuesday in Sacramento.
Coach Vinny Del Negro said the Gray originally had planned to travel to continue his rehabilitation with the team. He still may meet the team at some point on the trip.
Forwrd Tyrus Thomas will not travel with the team. He will work on his conditioning in Chicago as he recovers from a fractured radius in his left forearm.
