CHAMPAIGN, Ill.--Lexington and Tuscola take the field for the Class 1A state football championship game at Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Illinois.

Unbeaten Lexington features running back T.J. Stinde, who set the state single-season rushing record last weekend. He has 3,194 yards and 45 rushing touchdowns, which is tied for the single-season record.

Tuscola head coach Rick Reinhart's mother, Irene, died before the Warriors' quarterfinal game.

Former Tuscola coach Stan Wienke, now a volunteer assistant, coached the Warriors to the 2006 state title behind Wienke's son, John, now a quarterback at Iowa.
