Bears defensive tackle Israel Idonije said Thursday "of course" he was fined for pulling Donovan McNabb's facemask in last Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Eagles, although Idonije declined to reveal the amount of his fine.

He is likely to be out $5,000.

Idonije was penalized 15 yards for the first-quarter penalty, and the Eagles went on to score a touchdown.

Nose tackle Anthony Adams and linebacker Nick Roach were fined $5,000 for facemask penalities against the Seahawks earlier this season.

Where does the league get off by fining a p0layer for something that was not intentional? Clear it was an accident and he let go of it immediately. Things happen in a game. He was penalized and that is enough. I think the league office is on a power trip and just trying to show off their power. Most of them have never played the game so they don't now how it is! What until things are flagrant or intentional then get involved league offcie!!!!!!
