LAS VEGAS -- Illinois' stay in Vegas was one they would like to forget -- and fast. The Illini lost to two opponents they should have beaten and now are in danger of dropping three in a row (their next game is Wednesday at No. 19 Clemson as part of the ACC/Big Ten challenge).
Demetri McCamey struggled Saturday (10 points on 4-for-13 shooting, five turnovers and four assists). Illinois coach Bruce Weber was blunt when assessing his point guard.
"Sometimes he doesn't understand the game and that's what he's got to learn," Weber said. "It's not just beating people 1-on-1. You've got to play every day, you've got to be ready, you've got to learn the game, learn angles, you've got to play both ends. Someday you might have the shot, someday you might have the dribble and kick and so hopefully he wakes up before it's too late and learns."

"I'm happier tonight than last night because we fought back," Weber said. "Then we had the lead, but then we didn't execute down the stretch and that's my fault."
Now, for the first time since 1974, Bradley has state bragging rights over Illinois.
"When you add the motivation into it, it's really tough," Weber said. "It's just a disappointing one."

Thanks for posting this. Would be intrested to read more or possibly please contact me by email thank you!
Stupid is as stupid does (according to Forrest Gump). McCamey and Weber are the two. Both are brain dead when it comes to basketball sense.
