Northern Illinois junior defensive end Jake Coffman was named Mid-American Conference West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Coffman recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss totaling 33 yards in last Saturday's 38-31 loss against the Ohio University Bobcats.This week's honor marks the second time this season Coffman was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week.
