By Brian HamiltonSOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Charlie Weis didn't want to talk about anything but Stanford on Tuesday morning.
His assistant coaches and players, meanwhile, won't talk about anything all week.
Notre Dame announced Tuesday afternoon that there would be no media access to assistant coaches and players this week, just three hours before the initial round of post-practice interviews was set to begin.
"We understand this is somewhat out of the ordinary, but the intent is simply to give our players and coaches every opportunity to focus on our final regular-season game at Stanford," football spokesman Brian Hardin said in a release.
It simply adds to a tumultuous week for the Irish that has included a loss in the home finale to Connecticut, Weis saying it would be "tough to argue" with his dismissal, starting quarterback Jimmy Clausen being punched outside a local pub early Sunday and Weis refusing to answer any questions about that incident.
