NU leads Iowa 14-10 at the half

Looks like it will be another bizarre game for Northwestern, which leads Iowa 14-10 at the break.

Northwestern has just 109 total yards, including 31passing yards. But Iowa has committed four turnovers -- two interceptions, two fumbles.

Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi has been knocked out and replaced by the green James Vandenberg.

NU quarterback Mike Kafka, clearly bothered by a left hamstring injury, has been replaced by Dan Persa. Persa had the Wildcats driving late in the second quarter but made a poor decision on a first-down pass play from the Iowa 29. He threw into double coverage, and Joe Conklin made a diving interception.

In short, this has been a game of mistakes. Whichever team makes the fewest in the second half should win.

That Sack and Fumble Recovery in the End Zone/ QB Take out was a Defensive Players Dream Come True.

Not that you root for Injury, but NU's Defense would be lying if they said they werent thrilled.
