MLB.com reports: The Philadelphia Phillies have signed outfielder DeWayne Wise to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training, according to a source.
Mark Buehrle will always remember Wise as the man who saved his perfect game in July with a leaping catch at the wall in the ninth inning.

Wise hit .225 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 142 at-bats last season. He is a .216 career hitter in seven MLB seasons.

The White Sox are making all the wrong moves as of right now. Getting rid of Dye, Pods maybe Jenks and now Wise. They pick up players like Coco Crisp and Andruw Jones, players that are on their way out. This is sad. Wise is a great player, good luck to him!
