Rush, Arena league plan 2011 comeback

Staff Report

The Chicago Rush today announced plans to resume playing in the Arena Football League, which suspended operations earlier this year, in 2011.

"We are looking forward to bringing back a winning team as well as a first-class operation to the city that raised the Rush and supported our great success," Arthur Price, co-owner along with Peter and Alan Levin and former Bears coach Mike Ditka, said in a news release.

The Rush, which began play in 2001, shut down its operations along with the rest of the AFL after the 2008 season.

"The AFL is confident of its strong foundation to rebuild a thriving enterprise, and we are excited to be a part of it," Alan Levin said.

OK, lets do some simple math here...out of the 19 AFL teams in 2008, only 2 have joined ARENA 1....tell ya something????? If i have to wait till 2011, to see my Sabercats, then ill gladly do it. It would be fun, tho, to see the CATS stomp all over teams in this new league...including the Spokane Shock!!!!!

"...and lets face it, no buisness model is better than the AF1's"

Hey genius do you realize that the AF1 business model is the SAME as the af2 and AFL? Some of the salaries are different but the structure of the model is the same! All they did was hire the people running the af2 to run the new league! Jerry Kurz ring a bell?

well, sense the AF1 is buying all of your stuff, and Chicago is already gettin an AF1 team, mostlikely back in Rosemont, all i gotta say is, GOOD LUCK! CAUSE YOUR "REBUILDING" WILL ALREADY BE A YEAR BEHIND THE AF1! that of which whom already signed a good fraction of old AFL players, and lets face it, no buisness model is better than the AF1's, David Baker should of thought of this before he made teams pay out $15,000,000 a year in salaries when the whole franchise was worth $80 mil. So, RIP Chicago Rush, (unless the AF1 robbs your name!! ;D)

Give it up already your a few days from court you conceided to the AF1 to be the starting bidder. Quite blowing smoke, were all choking from the smoke for a year already. Now you expect us to wait 2 years. Go support the LFL ditka, that was a class move. Levin you were a big hold out to the " NO 2009 THEORY ". Now eat it!!!!
