No. 2 Michigan St. 106, Massachusetts 68: Tom Izzo won his 341st game at Michigan State, setting the school record for victories.

Chris Allen led the Spartans (5-1) with 18 points in the Legends Classic game.

Spartan fans held printed "341" cards and chanted Izzo's name in the waning moments, and stood and applauded him once the final horn sounded. Izzo has led the Spartans to five Final Fours since 1999 and lost the national championship game last season to North Carolina.

No. 6 Purdue 64, Central Michigan 38: Purdue (5-0) went 9-of-22 from the field in the first half before waking up in the second half. E'Twaun Moore led the Boilermakers with 15 points, Robbie Hummel added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Boilermakers used their staunch defense to overcome a sluggish offensive start.

"It was a different pace of the game for us, not as many possessions, and I thought our guys struggled at times," coach Matt Painter said. "But anytime you hold a team to 38 points and you have no guys in double figures, that's a good job."

Indiana 90, Northwestern State 72: Freshmen Maurice Creek and Christian Watford finished with 17 points each Saturday, and Indiana beat Northwestern State, 90-72.

Creek scored in double figures for the sixth time in as many games, with 13 of his points coming in the first half in front of 11,128 at Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers (3-3), who will play host to No. 25 Maryland in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge on Tuesday, forced 23 turnovers, 13 of which came on steals.

Iowa 73, North Carolina Central 63: Jarryd Cole scored a career-high 24 points for the Hawkeyes.

Iowa (2-4) built a 47-32 lead in the second half, but the Hawkeyes had to hold off a run by North Carolina Central (1-6). The Eagles pulled within six points at 55-49 and 59-53, both times on 3-pointers by Michael Glasker.

But Iowa regained control, leading 65-53 with 3:36 remaining on consecutive baskets by Eric May, Cully Payne and Cole.

Iowa finished 3 of 20 beyond the arc but compensated by making 25 of 36 two-point shots and outrebounding the Eagles 43-22.

No. 17 Ohio State 110, St. Francis, Pa. 47: Jon Diebler hit five 3-pointers, scoring 15 of his 17 points during the quick start for the Buckeyes.

Evan Turner had 16 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists, and center Dallas Lauderdale had one of his most dominant games at Ohio State (5-1). He flirted with career highs in points (11), rebounds (6) and blocked shots (6).

Belmont 95, Eastern Illinois 62: Mick Hedgepeth hit 8 of 9 shots and scored 23 points to direct Belmont to a 95-62 victory over Eastern Illinois.

Tyler Laser led the Panthers (3-2) with 21 points, but no teammate had more than eight.

Northern Iowa 52, Northern Illinois 45: Northern Illinois shot only 32.7 percent (17 of 52) while Northern Iowa wasn't t much better at 34.0 percent (16 of 47). The teams combined for only nine assists.

Tony Nixon led the Huskies (1-4) with nine points.

Western Illinois 84, Greenville College 84-46: Tommie Tyler scored 22 points and Western Illinois turned the game into a rout in the second half.

The Leathernecks (3-3) led 34-25 at halftime but shot 62 percent in the second half to pull away. Western Illinois shot 48 percent for the game compared to just 25 percent for Greenville, a Division III school in Illinois located 45 miles from St. Louis.

Ceola Clark scored 10 points and James Granstra had 11 rebounds for Western Illinois.
