Southern Illinois was named one of the top four seeds in the NCAA Division I Football Championships today and will host Eastern Illinois at 1 p.m. Saturday in its opening playoff game.
Unbeaten Montana, Villanova and Richmond are the other top seeds in the 16-team tournament..
Southern Illinois (10-1), champions of the Missouri Valley Football Conference, earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament and was matched against Ohio Valley Conference champion Eastern Illinois (8-3).
