Tyrus Thomas will be in Cleveland with his Bulls teammates after all and said he's going to try to play tonight.
A wan-looking Thomas boarded a commercial flight by himself this afternoon. Sitting in first class and drinking Odwalla orange juice, Thomas said, "I'm doing alright. Just want to be there."
Asked if he's going to play, he said, "Gonna try it."
Thomas missed Tuesday's home game and Wednesday's practice with the flu. Coach Vinny Del Negro had said there was a small chance Thomas would meet the team in Cleveland, but most people considered that chance remote.
"No big deal," Thomas said.

Hi buddy, your blog's design is simple and clean and i like it. Your blog posts are superb. Please keep them coming. Greets!!!
Tyrus reminds me of Kobe Bryant in his third year. Nobody in Los Angeles wanted Kobe either. It takes a while. Be patient.
After watching the last Bulls game with Milwaukee there is no way VDN should allow Taj to start at PF or get more then leftover minutes. We need Tyrus Thomas to start at PF not because he is a great player or anything like that, but because we do not have anybody else to play that position and Taj should not start there. The Bulls dont have a true reliable power forward, Thomas plays more like small forward and Noah, Miller are centers.
Keep your head up TT. Hope you get better and get back on the court because we need you out there. :)
The only thing inconsistent about Tyrus Thomas is his minutes.
Landon, we don't all love Tyrus. He's an inconsistent bust. We should have never traded LMA for him.
The fans have his back. We love TT... I personally think he's getting a raw deal since VDN is afraid to play anyone but his "trusted vets" in the 4th quarters. Every time he goes small ball instead of letting Tyrus play, Tyrus misses an opportunity to develop. We also get out hustled and overpowered inside (see the recent Miami game). Why don't we let the kid play 36 min a night and see what happens? Oh, and Taj is NOT the answer. Good role player, no where near starter potential.
Personally, I'm rooting for Tyrus to pull through. The organization and maybe the fans may not have his back, but I really want to see the man win morally.
