NEW YORK -- Injured Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher wishes he was with his team preparing to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Still, the World Series is pretty cool.

Urlacher was a guest of Yankees manager Joe Girardi for Game 6 on Wednesday night. The two got to know each other when Girardi played for the Cubs.

"I just like to watch sports," said Urlacher, who dislocated his right wrist in the Bears' season opener at Green Bay on Sept. 13 and is out for the season. "They're great athletes and I'm excited to see it up close like this."

Nice to see Lovie & J.A. allows players on the IR to skip practices and attend baseball games. I mean, what would be the use of having your defensive "captain" around if he can't play right? Not like he could provide some insight and coaching to the younger players filling his "large" shoes?
