Tommie Harris: 'I know' Lovie will be back

By Brad Biggs

Tommie Harris stated his case for Lovie Smith to remain as the head coach of the Bears when he visited with Detroit media on a conference call Wednesday.

Smith refuses to enter the speculation when he meets with media, and he has taken the same tact with his players as the 2009 season comes to a close.

"We don't know anything about that, that's how he leaves it for us,'' Harris said. "He just keeps everything just straight football and not worrying about all the other distractions. We're just worry about coming in and finishing out the rest of the season hard."

For Harris, who was suspended for one game last season by Smith and benched for another this season, it's a no-brainer.

"I don't play into that. I know he'll be back,'' Harris said. "He deserves every reason to. We just went to the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. He's done some great things and Monday night everybody played their heart out and we're going to do the same on Sunday.

"The players believe in him, he's got great players that play well and guys play hard for him. I just think he believes in what he teaches and he sticks with it, that's what makes him great."

Lovie comes back because his players decide to play hard for one game this year...too little too late. Same goes for you Harris. The sooner we start rebuilding the better we'll be. I say trade Urlacher and Harris for draft picks. We aren't going to win in the next few years anyways...

Cut from the same cloth. Lovie, Tommie and the failed "Cover 2" all have to go...only then will we be better off.

Unfortunately, you're right Tommie...and unfortunately you'll be back too.

Way to show up for one game, the 15th of the season, and play. Yep, that is enough in the screwed up Bears organization to warrant your return.

Your lucky nobody filed a police report for theft against you Tommie! You stole money all year long and YOU helped put your Coach, the one you're campaigning for now, in the hot seat.

So the least you could do is stand up for the man — but - I see through your BS....Too bad the Bears will not.
