Watch as disenfranchised Chicago Bears fans sing "Lie Down, Chicago Bears", a parody of the team's fight song which reflects the fans' displeasure with the team. The fans were brought together to sing the song in downtown Chicago by Joe Schmitt, a Chicago social media guru.

I totally agree with DougR and Joe F. I said in another blog, and was ridiculed for it, that until the McCaskeys get out of the football business and return the franchise to A) the Halases, or B) do what they did in Green Bay -- sell shares!, nothing will change.
It's all about the money; not about the fans, not about civic pride, not even about winning any more. The Coaching Carousel in the NFL is a closed boys' club -- no one gets in, and you can't be thrown out--just go to another team!
Let's bring in some fresh ideas - back to the future. How about smash-mouth football -- run it down your opponent's throat. Make the opponent's offense DREAD the afternoon in Soldier Field, with a defense that will eat you alive for breakfast.
Where are the Mongos, the Hampdens, the Singletarys, the Fridges? Where are the players with the fire? These questions can be rhetorical, but for Bears fans, the topic can be be a demand for quality, for attitude, and for coaching of the Buddy Ryan/ Ditka caliber of days past.
We haven't had a winner in this town since the White Sox of '05.
We haven't had a Super Bowl team in this town since '86 ('85?? I forget...! See what I mean?). When are fans going to wise up and tell this ownership that we want a winner. How do you do that? VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET!! If you think that season tickets are too valuable to give up, ask yourself, What are you getting for your money? You are getting losers! What does that say about your spending habits?
Happy New Year.

These tools are morons and idiots rolled into one sad sack of a package...
Lie Down, Chicago Bears, hahaha...uhm not!
I bet none of these clowns ever watched a Bears game let alone played a game.
Jesus, I love the femnine, fat, balding white dude in the back he was waaaaaaaaaaaay to into this song. He lloks like he shul dhav ebeen the stand in for Buffalo Bob in Silence of the lambs...the blondie in the front better watch out...
Well, now I know two things Joe can't do.
He can't sing, AND he can't cook.
Wait, that's three things:
He can't write clever parody lyrics, He can't sing, AND he can't cook.
Wait, that's four things:
He can't bother to have a cast of characters that can remember a forty word song, He can't write clever parody lyrics, He can't sing, AND he can't cook.
So...what are you going to do...strangle me?
WTF is wrong with these people? Swear to god their are so many damn Bear and Cub fans out there that just need a good beating. Who does this kind of gay garbage? I can see NY fans just pointing and laughing at the pethetic nature of the Chicago fan. But hey we invented stuffed pizza and eat more twinkies than anyone else. To many mush fans who don't have a clue. To many mush beat writers who are affraid to ask tough questions, and to many fans who would rather talk on their phones than actually enjoy the game. I am actually embarrassed to come from the same place as these loosers. The only thing worse than bandwagon fans, flip floppers. Now they are jumping on the hate bandwagon and they want everyone to know it. So sad.
The season has been awful, and the team is spiraling downward very quickly. Cutler has been bad this year, but his protection and receivers have been worse. The defense has not stopped any team with an offense that has a pulse. The solution? A new regime. It is obvious that the players have stopped playing, and the coaches are not getting through to them. The game plans are not even pedestrian, they are preschool level plans! Turner, Marinelli, Babich, and Lovie all need to be removed and replaced by fresh voices. The superstars on this team are not leading by example, nor are they leading in any fashion. They are sniping and spouting Lovie-speak, saying everything will be fine if they just get back to basics. Professional football players should be able to do the basic things in their sleep, not have to work harder to make things like blocking, tackling, and pride happen on the football field.
Jerry Angelo has never had a rebuilding project as a GM. I am not sure if he can manage it. But I think he has to realize that the coaching staff for his team, and the players on it are not going to get the job done. I think we are in for a 2-3 year recovery, and a fire sale each of the next 2-3 offseasons to make it happen.
Urlacher, Pace, Briggs, Harris, Gaines Adams, Alex Brown, Olin Kreutz, Roberto Garza, Nathan Vasher, and a dozen or so others are going to have to go to bring this team back. Some have minimal trade value, others have none. Briggs is the only one who warrants any significant trade value, and this would be the year to move him, while we have Jamar Williams as a restricted free agent (expired CBA only). We can't give up Gilbert or Idonije, as we will likely let Anderson and Ogunleye walk after this season, but Anderson might be a restricted free agent under the expired CBA as well. Urlacher has some value, and still has a few years left as a solid MLB or outside backer in a 3-4 defense (maybe a 4th round pick, or a late 3rd, a 2 if we find someone desperate). The rest are pretty well useless from a value perspective, unless we package them with draft picks to move up in the rounds we get to draft in.
The Baltimore Ravens, despite their record of late, are the epitome of a physical football team. Urlacher claimed our identity was as a physical, running football team that played good defense. After we get done on Sunday, I think it will be obvious how far we have to go to get back to being a physical football team. This team needs to be built around Cutler going forward. We need a ton of help to keep him alive and well for the future, and the defense just needs to be good enough to stop people every now and again. Right now, they can't stop anybody.
For the last several years, we have invested our money in a defense, and that defense got old in a hurry. Our youth is basically non-existent, except in the secondary. Moore, Afalava, Payne, Graham, and Bowman are all very early in their careers. On the line, we have Gilbert, G Adams, Harrison, and Melton as a foundation. Linebackers, we have Shaw for special teams, Malast on the practice squad, and nothing else as far as young depth.
On offense, we have a young running back, very young receivers, a young receiving TE, and a young franchise QB. It is unclear whether we have young offensive linemen we can build around in Williams, Omiyale, Beekman, and Louis. This team needs to change out basically 1/2 to 2/3 of its roster in the next 3 years. Not having any first day draft picks puts more pressure on Angelo to either build through free agency, or accelerate that process with the pieces that he has that would fetch talent or picks in return.
5-8 is bad, but 5-9 is worse. With each loss, the pressure gets higher on Angelo, Lovie, and the staff. If we lose Greg Gabriel to Buffalo to be their GM, we are in even more trouble. Since we have no early draft picks, it is even more important to have the scouting department stable and working, and losing the head would be tough.
The Lyrics to this song were better left unsung, leaving so much more to the imagination than the terrible performance given by these disenfranchised bears fans!
What's the opposite of funny?

Its time for you voice to be heard Bear Fans!
Doooshettes !
this bears team sucks. the roster is weak. The coaching is crummy. I'm so damn sick of the lousy media 'hype'. Raven's see number 23 in their sleep. Please, number 23 got turned from a great player to a mediocre one because he listened to Dionne Sanders. Who probably wanted him to stop returning kicks so that people would remember him instead of Hester.
Gaines Adams has REAL potential. This is the same crap hype we heard all off season about the R.Marinelli factor. The sports writers in this town need to take off the gloves and criticize this team fairly and accurately. Because they should be beating this drum link a salvation army bell for the next 9 months until the people in lake forest stop stealing from the fans in chicago.
And Cutler. Great skills. Small brain. Working in a lousy R.Turner system. I've written before and I'll write it again. The problems with this franchise are beyond the surface level. Way beyond. It permeates the entire weak organization. Winning starts with an attitude and the group of clowns running this show don't have it.
I still have a lot of respect for these guys, lovie, ron, but I don't want them here...And the buck stops squarely at Virginia's feet. Virginia and Ted and the rest of the McCaskey organization. They probably signed lovie and jerry to 5 year deals just to get through the CBA period. Because it was simpler. Stupid, but simple.
In days gone buy, this franchise could do something, a draft pick, a trade, a new wrinkle. and there would be a spark, and I could have interest, hope. But, I can honestly say, there is nothing short of the firing of Jerry angelo and the freaking entire front office that would rekindle my interest in this team. And I'm bitter, because I invested a lot of years being a fan of them. But they suck and they will always suck as long as Virginia and Jerry are steering this squad. Someone needs to execute their power of attorney, take the team away from Virginia, and sell it. And don't go selling it to some bozo like Daniel Synder or another family clan with people who think they know something about football when they actually know squat
these people need to something better with their time.
