Let the game(s) begin: Evanston mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl announced a friendly wager with Auburn mayor Bill Ham, Jr. betting that her Wildcats will beat his Tigers in the 24th Annual Outback Bowl on New Year's Day.

If Northwestern wins, the Auburn City Council would all have to wear Northwestern t-shirts to one of their City Council meetings. And if NU loses, the Evanston council will don Auburn gear.

"This is the first time I have ever made a bet with another mayor," Tisdahl said. "NU has a great team, a great record and now they are going to a bowl game this year. We wish them luck and we are confident that they will return home with a victory."

"I am confident that Coach Pat Fitzgerald will lead us to victory on New Year's Day and Auburn's City Council will be donning NU purple in January."

So no pressure Coach Fitz...

"SEC POWER and speed..."

Typical lack of respect for the B10. Clay must work for ESPN - LOL.

The 'Cats have a pretty good year and they built their record by beating teams that were supposedly faster and more powerful.

We'll see....

Please excuse Clay. His post is not indicative of the decorum typical of an Auburn man. I do agree with his observation of team speed and will add that Kafka has a high TD to INT ratio. I like our chances IF we can keep him in the pocket.

Elizabeth,
You are an idiot. Auburn is going to drum NU. SEC POWER and speed, even the AU running back stated how slow NU defense looks on tape.

WDE!!
