Bears cornerback Charles Tillman missed today's practice to deal with a family issue, according to a league source. It does not appear to be an emergency,

Tillman left Halas Hall during the lunch hour. He should be back for Saturday's practice. The Bears have Christmas Day off.

Running back Adrian Peterson also missed practice with an undisclosed illness. Starting safeties Al Afalava (knee bruise) and Kevin Payne (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day.

Linebacker Lance Briggs (back), left tackle Chris Williams (ankle) returned to practice, with Briggs having full participation and Williams limited. Tackle Orlando Pace (groin) and defensive tackle Tommie Harris (knee) had full participation after being limited Wednesday.

Receiver Devin Hester was limited again coming off a calf strain.

For the Vikings, guard Steve Hutchinson (shoulder), end Brian Robison (quad), defensive tackle Pat Williams (elbow), and cornerback Antoine Winfield (foot) were limited for the second consecutive day.
