Defenseman Cam Barker likely will return to the lineup when the Blackhawks kick off their eight-game road trip in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.
Barker has missed five consecutive games with an upper-body injury. He has been practicing this week and coach Joel Quenneville said there's a "good chance he'll be playing (Saturday)."
Cristobal Huet will get the start in goal against the Blue Jackets after shutting them out in a 3-0 victory Thursday night at the United Center.
Look for Antti Niemi to start Sunday afternoon against the Red Wings. The last time the teams met Dec. 20, Niemi made 20 saves to record the shutout in a 3-0 Hawks win.
