Illinois athletic director Ron Guenther says the Illini are willing to play their football game this fall against Northwestern at Wrigley Field.
The game is scheduled to be played at Northwestern's Ryan Field on Nov. 20.
But Northwestern athletic director Jim Phillips last week said the game could be moved to Wrigley if the needed financial and logistical questions can be worked out.
Guenther says the decision is in the hands of Northwestern officials because it's their home game. He adds that the Illini aren't willing to sacrifice a future home game to make a date at Wrigley happen.

This is really stupid. NU needs to play a game at Wrigley to draw fans? The teams should be the draw, not the venue.
This is really stupid. The teams should be the draw. Not the venue. NU can't even fill Ryan Stadium.
Regardless of the location, the Illini will have a hard time beating Fitz's Wildcats until Guenther and Zook are no longer in charge.
Southern Illinois hillbillies want their games there.
Wouldn't it be more fun, and more fair, if Wrigley (or Soldier Field) were the site of the NU-Illinois game every year? C'mon Guenther, do something right for once!
