The Sammy Sosa Foundation in the Dominican Republic is delivering over $100,000 worth of food and water to its neighbors in Haiti to aid victims of the earthquake.

"They hope that their delivery of aid via trucks will get to victims who have been difficult to reach by air and water," said a spokesperson for the foundation named after the former Cubs slugger on Friday.

Also on Friday, Tom Ricketts announced that for every $1 donated to Haitian relief at Cubs Convention, the Cubs will match and also the Ricketts family will match on their own.
