The Bears' free-agent spending spree kept on rolling Tuesday.
Tim Jennings, a 5-8, 185-pound cornerback who played the last four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, has signed a two-year contract, the team announced.
Jennings started 21 games, but was a reserve when the Colts beat the Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

Jennings has 161 career tackles and four interceptions. The former second-round draft pick out of Georgia played primary in
nickel packages last season and was ninth on the team with 51 tackles.
With Charles Tillman recovering from a bruised lung and cracked ribs and Zackary Bowman hospitalized with stomach issues at least twice last season, the Bears needed added insurance at cornerback. The Bears plan to bring veteran Nathan Vasher to training camp, while Corey Graham and D.J. Moore also are options.
Tillman and Bowman figure to be the starting corners unless the Bears are tempted to give Tillman a look at safety.
Lovie Smith identified safety as the position of need prior to free agency, but the Bears focused their attention on landing star defensive end Julius Peppers from the Carolina Panthers.
The Bears also signed running back Chester Taylor and tight end Brandon Manumaleuna.

My ex girlfriend was taller than this guy
The guy runs a 4.36 40. He's a Nickle dime CB. Nothing more nothing less. Fortunately theres some nice depth at CB & S. I mean there are guys like AJ Jefferson & Myron Lewis who i really love projected to go in the 3-5th round range. Then theres guys that can be had as low as 6th like David Pender Purdue,Crezdon Butler Clemson,Chris Hawkins LSU,Ben Burney Colorado to name a few. The measurables on these guys are amazing. For that low down its worthy of a flyer. I would love if the bears went heavy at DB in the 5-7th rd's. Hopefully they can pick up a few more picks along the way through trades, guys being signed to Tenders,& or some trading down for multiple picks.
The way things are going w/Manning he could be next actually. Then we can get a real SS. Not a small non physical player to man a very physically demanding position.
Can the Bers sign Minnie Mi? He might even be available.
What's Jennings going to do? Run the water bottles in during time outs. 5-8, my son's pee wee team had bigger players than that.
Most of you are pathetic. Jackson T. may be the most so!
lol some of you guys are pretty ignorant, it dos not matter who the bears sight or pick up. It is a win win either way, if they win now with what they have then over half of you guys can shut up, if they do not then we will most likely end up with Cowher. So I do not see a problem here, I would rather see the bears lose some and be the team of the decade vs look good every 3-4 years.
I watched the bears from Chile this year, and all the way from down here i could tell that they desperatly need more physical DBs and a Safety.
how pointless. A 6'0 WR, which is everyone in our division, will tower this duesche. Not like our tall guys can cover anyone anyway
Great, C. Johnson, D. Driver, S. Rice will look at these midgets and laughed their ass off!
Well he is a decent gunner and he is really a nickle back which means his size is not a big deal a lot of good nickle backs are small. However this points to them using Manning at Free Safety. Oh boy that should be intresting.
Lovie likes 'em short! I'm sure he'll be great going against those tall receivers.
Another midget...like the Bears don't have enough. Ugh!!
If by a warm body you mean "depth", than yes, they added depth today. We need difference maker in the secondary and I'm tired of people tip toing around that. We haven't had a threat at Safety since Mike Brown was healthy. How long has that been again? Too long.
Un-freaking believable. Another 5'8 d-back. Don't the Bears already have DJ "less"?
5'8 185? Great, a real difference maker. My neighbor is 6'1 and runs around a lot, plus he always has to wear a helmet, so maybe he can get a try-out?
Great, we didn't have enough midget corners.
Once again the theory is proven, those who type in caps are always idiots who have nothing to say.
NICE THE BEARS ARE FINALLY DOING SOMETHING CAN WAIT TO WATCH THEM NEXT YEAR
