NEW ORLEANS -- It's not the time to tweak good mojo, but then there is an All-American forward sitting on the bench for Notre Dame at the most critical time of the season.
But, when the Irish begin their NCAA tournament run Thursday against Old Dominion, it'll stay that way. In fact, the surprise would have been if the team went any other direction than using Luke Harangody as a sixth man with 2,472 career points.
"That's our plan to keep going that way," Irish coach Mike Brey said Wednesday. "He played 24 to 25 (minutes) three nights in a row (at the Big East tournament). I think that took a little bit of a toll on him.

"But practice was good these last couple days because it's getting him back into a rhythm. So kind of play it by ear and see. We're open to anything. But that seems to be a good segment of time for him, 24 or 25 minutes."
Harangody actually averaged 24 minutes a game in three Big East tournament outings, but he's in no way itching to start again.
"I'm definitely enjoying it," the senior forward said Wednesday. "When I went down, I thought my career with Notre Dame may be over. So to get back on the court again -- starting, coming off being the sixth man -- it's great. I've accepted the role. I'll do anything."
