The Bears are going to have a full house at Halas Hall later today.
Julius Peppers is on his way to town and it is believed the Bears are close to bagging their No. 1 target in free agency. Running back Chester Taylor is scheduled to pay a visit too. The Bears will also host veteran tight end Brandon Manumaleuna, who is considered a favorite to reunite with offensive coordinator Mike Martz.
Manumaleuna played his first five seasons in St. Louis and the 30-year-old spent the last four years with the San Diego Chargers. At 6-2, 295 pounds, he's like an additional offensive tackle. Martz values blocking tight ends in the run and pass games, and he'll be a solid complement to Greg Olsen, who is fully expected to remain with the team.
Brace yourself for a busy day in Lake Forest as the Bears probably cut at least a couple of deals.

This is finally what the Bears need to be doing. Peppers would instantly make the defense much better, but the Bears also need Chester Taylor. The only reason he's not a bigger name is because he's sat behind Adrian Peterson. Taylor and Forte would make a potent backfield. Finally the Bears are making the moves of a Championship orginization
Zach Zaidman hyping about a supposed meeting between Lovie, Peppers and others, what else is new? We all knew that the Bears were desperate and planned on meeting Peppers and the rest. We've had many potential employees walk in and out of Halas Hall this year, so we shouldn't act like little school girls until it is official. Peppers could just be using the Bears as leverage for the Redskins, Eagles, Patriots, etc. Nothing new here.
You know, Jerry was gettin r done all that time, Dude flew to Charlotte asap! Show em all how to finagle behind the scenes jerry!!!
Actually I really like the TE as he knows Martz system, and we surely need some help blocking for Cutler.
and if Taylor signs thats like 2 premier blockers added to our line, huh who woulda thunk that?
