Jim has a really good point have MJ or Pip go into the meetings

I think if the Bulls want to make a major impression on free agents, they should have MJ or Pip in tow to these meetings. I know MJ owns the Bobcats, but he's still close to Pax, and the city of Chicago.

- Agreed. Pip can tell LeBron how to most efficiently squander his vast fortune; MJ can then let LeBron in on the secrets to gambling large sums of money and womanizing.

The "Akron area" is NOT a neutral site. It's the hometown area of Mr. James. I can not remember a situation where a free agent player demanded franchises comes visit him. It's extremely arrogant and ego-centric. This is also revealed in the fact that Mr. James has a huge tattoo that reads:"The Chosen One". Mr. James has never discouraged anyone from referring to his self as "The King". Does "The King" expect John Paxon, Gar Forman, and Jerry Reinsdorf to kneel down and kiss his royal ring at the Akron castle? I seriously question the maturity of this guy. This was the first year he shook hands after a playoff loss....probably at the insistence of his advisers. His people have floated stories in the media that "The King" would add 2.7 billion dollars to the local economy. That notion is absolutely insane and laughable. That notion also suggests to me that Mr. James is going to be very interested in teams telling him how much money he can make off the court. If he and his people bring this up in the meetings, I would immediately question just how commited he is to play winning basketball. We all know how much natural talent he has, but has he shown that he can play within the confines of a half-court offense? The Celtics played an excellent half-court offense, The Cavs did not. I would be very suspicious at the thought of signing him. I would like to hear him be a bit more humble and acknowledge his shortcomings as a player. Someone's going to commit a truckload of money to one guy. Is he the right guy. I'm not sure.

JAMES and BOSH are gonna go to the bulls. Its not GarPax thats gonna sell them, its the roster that the bulls already have in place. They are going to win the east this coming season and contend for the next 6 to 8 years.

The only team that makes more sense is New Jersey. They have a young roster and a new owner willing to spend. But they still play in New Jersey, are coming off a 12 win season and avery johnson has been outcoached and had teams who did nothing in the playoffs.Blowing a 2-0 lead in the finals with homecourt advantage and losing to an 8th seed when you won 67 games are 2 things that happened with avery johnson as the head coach,He made absolutely no adjustments vs golden state in 07 and that's why they lost in 6 games.Lebron will not win a title in jersey in the next year or 2 that roster is to young right now. They don't have the playoff experience to just go win a title.Knicks,Heat and clippers are not realistic destinations it's either the cavs or bulls.Cavs dont even have a coach and havent done one thing to improve that roster since may. It's obvious they werent good enough to win these last 2 years.Logically the bulls makes sense but most people dont use logic so we'll see soon enough

I keep hearing rumors that Lebron is really considering NY or NJ. I say if he signs with either one, let him go cause Lebron signing with either one of those teams, its not just a basketball decision and he is not ready to win now. Bulls should make Bosh their first target and be at his door at 12:00am July 1.

I just do not agree! It just shows how unimportant what the city has to offer is to LBJ. Fame will follow him wherever he plays as will the money. It comes down to ownership, roster, ability to improve consistently. What the landscape is means nothing to him (sorry NY, what else can you offer?) Chicago has a good potential roster, notice I said potential depending where the dominos fall. Well, that really leaves CLE which IS HIS HOME (do not underestimate that!) with an aggressive owner (proven) who has been too quite in this and I believe they are waiting and going to make a blockbuster trade to secure their roster (which already IS VERY STRONG). They have the #1 practice facilty that was built with his residence (just finished) near. Logically, I just do not believe that anyone else can match what Cleveland has to offer (along with 30mm more cash). WAKE UP NY, CHI, MIA, LA. I think we are just dreaming!

This hurts Miami the most of all teams in the mix for LBJ.

This news greatly saddens me......I was SO looking forward to the news coverage of "The King" stepping off the plane at O'Hare and being greeted by Benny the Bull.

Will Oprah and Obama will be part of the Bulls contingent traveling to Akron, Ohio?

LeBron should have all the team's reps meet with him at the same time. Sort of like a round table setting. Make them all grovel over him in front of the others. Isn't that what kings do?

Seriously though, and not a pleasant thought for Bulls fans. LeBrons going to meet with these teams over a 3 day period. I can just see it too. He meets with all of these high fashion people, some celebrities, others, smooth talking so-called player types, and then the Bulls get their turn and out pops GarPax. LeBron and his crew will take a look at those two and burst out in laughter. And folks thought Jerry Krause had a funny look about him. Wait untill LeBron gets a look at the bobsy twins.

Can't shake this creepy feeling that King James will demand functional control of the team "fortunate" enough to win his commitment. Doesn't exactly fit the Bull's "Team First" philosophy, does it? Must be time to introduce Jerry Krause into the mix.

I think if the Bulls want to make a major impression on free agents, they should have MJ or Pip in tow to these meetings. I know MJ owns the Bobcats, but he's still close to Pax, and the city of Chicago.

James is such a pompous jerk.

Another blow to the New York Knicks chances. Once again, the Bulls will be laughing at the Knicks...
