Grand Rapids Makes the List of Best Cities for Moms

Grand Rapids comes in at number seven on the list of the best cities for moms in the United States, according to The Daily Beast.

The study started with the 100 biggest cities in America and then looked at data points like mothers-per-capita, educational quality in the area, child care, the availability of maternity health specialists, and data for "love for mom" which looked at things like the number of cards sent.

Jackson, Mississippi came in at number one, with the best rank for maternity care and love for mom.

Raleigh, North Carolina was second, coming in first for moms-per-capita. San Jose, California was third, followed by Albany, New York, Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Rochester, New York.

Grand Rapids was ranked third in moms-per-capita, and fifth in maternity care.

Rounding out the list were Greenville, South Carolina, Honolulu, Hawaii, Charleston, South Carolina, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Omaha, Nebraska.
