Adam Dunn took a nice easy full batting practice before Sunday's White Sox game against the Rays and could be back in the lineup Monday, five days after an appendectomy.

"It was good to get out of solitary confinement and hang out with the general population, you know what I mean?" Dunn said after batting outdoors.

Will he play Monday against Oakland?

"I don't know. I'm done making those bold predictions," he said. "I feel better than I did yesterday, which is good.

"It's been a battle. I wouldn't call it learning. I feel like I'm being punished. It's kind of like you're being punished, being grounded and you don't know what you did. I hope it never, ever happens again."
