SYLMAR, Calif. (KTLA) -- Friends and family members are relaunching a search for a missing film executive believed to have last been seen in Sylmar.
Gavin Smith, an executive at 20th Century Fox, 57, disappeared on May 1 while he was staying with a friend in Oak Park.
Smith's family believes he may have recently been seen in the area of Encinitas and Roxford Streets.
Deputies say they have served more than 20 search warrants in the case, including the home of a woman in West Hills Smith may have had an affair with.
Deputies served a warrant around 10:30 a.m. on June 8 at a home in the 8600 block of Santa Susana Place.
A neighbor told the L.A. Times that a woman and her two children emerged from the house as it was being searched.
She said a family -- including a husband, wife and two girls -- lives in the home.
Now, E! News reports that Smith had an affair with Chandrika Creech, who owns the house with her husband.
Both Smith's and Creech's spouses reportedly knew about the relationship, which began in 2008.
Creech's husband reportedly had her stop, but sources tell E! that the affair had started up again.
Though Mr. Creech never met Smith, they did have an email exchange back in 2008.
Computers were among the items seized in the search at the home.
Smith's wife, Lisa, and three sons are offering a $20,000 reward in the case.
"We truly need assistance from the public. We need additional tips, and we are hoping the public can provide them," Lisa said. "We don't know where Gavin is."
Smith was last seen driving away in his Mercedes between 9 and 10 p.m. without telling anyone, which the family said was unusual.
Authorities said he left behind his cell phone charger, shaving kit and other items.
Smith had spoken to his wife earlier that day about picking up their son the next day.
When he didn't show up to work at 20th Century Fox, or to pick up his son, family members knew something was wrong.
Since his disappearance, deputies and volunteers have combed the areas where he was last seen.
